Summary

The article treats some basic problems mentioned in T. Zhivkov’s letter to the Central Committee of Dimitrov’s Comsomol Organization, so as to point out the main goals, which on the background of common tasks should be solved by school geography in connection with a comprehensive reorganization of education.

More precisely the author emphasizes those problems related to training and discipline improvement in secondary and higher school, forming of a socialist personality, organization of teachers’ and pupils’ work according to socialist principles, overcoming some disadvantages in teaching methodology and educative work such as formalism and ambition for just getting good marks.
