Summary

In the article, an analysis is made of the formed territorial structure of the oil and gas industry. It is said that this is a result of the complex interaction of the natural, social-economic, technoeconomic, ecological and political factors and conditions.

The changes in the geography of the oil industry in Hungary are considered. If before the war oil and gas were produced exclusively in South-West Dunantul, in 1980 two-thirds of oil and gas are already produced in Alfyold. It was stated that the development and optimization of the oil industry undoubtedly leads to changes in the relative share of the oil and natural gas in the structure of the production and consumption of these primary energy-bearers in the thermos-energetic balance of Hungary.
