SOME ASPECTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL TOURISM

Summary

Bulgaria being a country rich in various recreational resources wins more and more recognition at the international tourist market. At the same time there is a rapid increase of the recreational need of the Bulgarian working people, as well as of their cultural and cognitive interests. In the pursuit of satisfying the foreign tourist demand and the national repose necessities, new forms of organization of the tourist activities are searched. One of these forms is the development of the international social tourism. The article treats some of its aspects which make it different from the traditional character of the international tourist visits and the holidays of the Bulgarians. On the base of empirical data, the author raises the hypothesis of the existence of objective possibilities for the development of this kind of tourism in Bulgaria and its influence upon the territorial and seasonal structure of the tourist flows to and from the country. The positive political and ideological effect of the international social tourism is emphasized.
