ON THE SUBJECT MATTER AND STRUCTURE OF THE GEOGRAPHY LESSON

Summary

This article treats the modern methods and demands addressed to the subject matter on the geography lesson: scientific and educative purpose, approachability, polytechnical and nature-preserving purposes, emotionality, bringing to life integrative relations HIP. The main differences between a geography lesson performed by a teacher and a textbook lesson are stressed upon; they are manifested as follows: sellection of the subject contents — giving advantage to the most important topics, including regional information — relating the curriculum contents with local geographical environment of the students, actualization of the educational contents. The structure of the geography lesson is well-grounded on the basis of not only one bus a complex of initial proceedings: realization of the educational proces and the main instructive aims, character of the curriculum contents, age peculiarities of the students.
