SOME PROBLEMS OF THE TEACHING CONTENTS OF GEOMORPHOLOGY STUDIED IN THE UNIFIED SECONDARY POLYTECHNICAL SCHOOL

Summary

The necessity of including in the curriculum the four elements of social experience — knowledge, activity, creative work and emotional-worth attitude of man toward the world is discussed. Thus, the developing character of education is put into practice. Proceeding from the contemporary requirements it is proved that the recent problems of geomorphology should be reflected in the curriculum. The analysis made of the subject contents of geomorphology studied in V—IX classes necessitates more extensive cover of the up-to-date theories and hypotheses that may explain the origin and development of the relief as well as including of the basic research and applied methods of geomorphology.
