Abstract

The paper will examine the methodology for spatial modeling and ecotourism potential analysis through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in GIS, integrating data from satellite imagery. The AHP, combined with data from satellite images and GIS analysis, is an appropriate way of analyzing the ecotourism potential of a territory as it is possible to make a comprehensive overview of all aspects of the researched topic. The proposed methodology for assessing ecotourism potential could be used in different administrative territories both in Bulgaria and in other countries.
