Abstract

Scientific explorations of this kind are not novelty. They help us to follow the development of a particular scientific area, point out and research its stages of evolution, distinguish the most remarkable achievements, and to make prognoses for its future development. The current report makes a retrospective analysis of scientific publications in the field of Geography of Tourism in Bulgaria published in the Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society, Annual of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Faculty of Geology and Geography, Book 2 - Geography", and Problems of Geography. The analysis of the scientific explorations defined three periods related to the existence and activities of the Bulgarian Geographical Society, which were grouped in various topics.
