Summary

The integral trends in the development of geography as a science raise the necessity of using the integral approach to its studying. The geography syllabus is all classes offer good opportunities of realizing the integral approach.

In geography this approach not only applies to all types of lessons but also leads to the formation of a new type of lesson – the complex-integral one. It is a part of the uniform cognitive process and introduces the pupils a general idea of the reality. Its structure is extremely varied and implies creative work on the teacher’s part and original reproduction by the pupils. It contributes to a constant spiral advance in developing geographical ideas.
